MATCHA LATTE

MatchaLatte.jpg

1 tsp "Morning Ritual" matcha

250 ml plant milk (we recommend a blend of oat, almond or soy milk - to make it frothy!)
1 - 2 tsp sweetener (agave, honey or light maple syrup)

or 1 medjool date

Bring water to a boil and let it cool for a few minutes until it reaches around 80°C. Meanwhile heat up the milk and your sweetener of choice in a small pot.

Sift the matcha powder in your favourite matcha bowl and add 2 Tbsp of hot water.

«Melt» the matcha by mixing it in a circular movement with a bamboo whisk until it forms a thick paste.

Add 70 ml of hot water and whisk in a W-pattern until frothy.

You can use an electric milk frother if you use a liquid sweetener or blend the milk with the date in a high-speed blender. Pour the milk over the matcha and enjoy :-)

ICED MATCHA LATTE

IcedMatchaLatte.jpg

1 tsp "Supreme SEN" matcha

250 ml plant milk (we recommend any barista oatmilk or a lightly sweetened soy or almond milk)
handful of ice cubes

Bring water to a boil and let it cool for a few minutes until it reaches around 80°C.

Sift the matcha powder in a bowl and add 50 - 70 ml of hot water. Use a bamboo whisk to froth the matcha in a "W" pattern.

Put the ice cubes in a large glass, add the hot matcha and let it cool down a few seconds, then pour over the milk and serve with a (glass) straw.

PURE MATCHA

PureMatcha.jpg

1/2 tsp "Heritage Premium" matcha

Bring water to a boil and let it cool for a few minutes until it reaches around 80°C.

Sift the matcha powder in your favorite matcha bowl and add 100 ml of water.

Use your bamboo whisk to froth the matcha in a "W" pattern. Enjoy pure and without any milk or sweetener.

Traditionally you can serve a small sweet like a piece of high quality white chocolate (or one of our signature Matcha Chocolate), a small vanilla macaron or a japanese jelly. It will make the experience and taste of the matcha more complex and flavourful.
